Jacob, known as Jake to those closest to him, is a founding member, and serves as the Director of Public Relations at Cancer Copay Relief. Jake brings a myriad of talents to the foundation ranging from his experience teaching in public schools to ethnographic research. Utilizing his background in both Education and Applied Sociocultural Anthropology, coupled with over a decade of experience with displaced populations, including his work with refugees from the post-Soviet Union and Southeast Asia, he shows a natural empathy for people finding themselves in situations they did not choose. He is known for his innovation and natural ability to make others around him feel welcome. Having lost a grandmother and friends to cancer, and watched others battle it successfully, Jake considers working with Cancer Copay Relief a labor of love.
